Poway Adult School Graduate Awarded Scholarship For Outstanding Academic Achievement

Poway Adult School graduate student Ian Eusebio has been awarded a $500 scholarship by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Region 18 for his academic success.

ACSA, the largest umbrella association for school leaders in California, recognizes students, administrators and community organizations for their achievements each year through an annual awards program. Eusebio was nominated by his instructors at Poway Adult School for his determination and outstanding academic performance while earning his high school diploma.

“Ian is one of the most talented students I have ever had the pleasure of teaching,” said Amy Echols Starkey, high school diploma instructor at Poway Adult School. “He demonstrated his dedication to high academic standards by consistently submitting extremely highquality work.

As of February 2021, Eusebio is attending Miramar College where he is enjoying courses in chemistry, digital film and English. His next goal is to apply to both University of California, San Diego and San Diego State University to pursue his interests in the sciences and business.

“Thank you to Poway Adult School for helping me achieve my dream,” says Ian.  This scholarship will go straight towards college tuition!”
