Healthcare Crisis: ETCN Schools Offer Accelerated Medical Programs

With the immediate need for trained healthcare workers at an alltime highadult schools in North San Diego County are rolling out low-costexpedited healthcare certification courses to meet growing demands in the region.

Starting February 1, Escondido Adult School will offer an eight-day online Certified Home Health Aide Program, while Poway Adult School will kick off a Nurse Assistant Training Program starting March 5. Both program formats will be a hybrid of in-person/online learning.

Our medical programs are perfect for students who wish to re-train, learn new skills or explore a new career in healthcare,” said Oscar Lopez, Transitions CoordinatorEscondido Adult School.  “And our instructors bring a wealth of knowledge and medical experience to the table.”

In addition to the Certified Home Health Aide and Nurse Assistant training programs, ETCN schools offer a variety of other low-cost medical courses including Vista Adult School’s Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy programs.

“We are here to help our students and community in any way we can,” said Lopez“If we can be the vehicle that trains students with the medical skills our community needs right now, we’re going to do it.”

All ETCN schools will continue to offer health-related courses and programs later this spring and summer. Interested students can visit each school’s website to access course catalogs and additional information or visit educationtocareer.net
